What is a wireless data collector?

- Nov 27, 2017 -

Wireless data acquisition is part of data acquisition with wireless functional devices, so it is called wireless data acquisition, and wireless devices are called wireless data acquisition devices. Wireless data collectors are also called handheld machines, industrial PDA, PDA handheld terminals.

Compared with the traditional manual acquisition equipment, wireless data acquisition is more advanced, because it can directly through the wireless network and PC, server for real-time data communication. The wireless data collector has the advantages of real-time communication and high efficiency.

It includes two core functions: wireless data transmission function and data acquisition function.

Wireless data transmission network is usually Zigbee, Wifi, GPRS, 3G, 4G, etc.; general integrated cost is relatively low, more stable performance. Only a one-time investment, no trenching, deep buried pipe, especially suitable for outdoor distance and good decoration occasions.

The collected content is usually the common output signal of sensor, such as voltage signal of 10V, or 4~20mA current signal, or common conditioning circuit (PT100, thermocouple, bridge and other conditioning circuit).

The functions of the two parts of the wireless collector are combined together to realize the collection of the field data and wireless transmission, so as to get rid of the shackles of the cable, and have the advantages of short installation cycle, convenient maintenance, strong expansion capacity and quick recovery of the cost
